Sine Wave - A Poem on Emotions and Time
Poetry

Sine Wave

Tall, dark and grey
Stood a tower of despair
Age had taken its toll
And time had come for its share

Tall, dark and grey
Stood the tower of hope
Footprints in the blackened grass
Yet none had passed its steely foot

Tall, dark and grey
Stood the tower of sadness
For once it was a mighty fort
Whose belly now shone a shade of crimson

Tall, dark and grey
Stood the tower of happiness
Deep into its dreary depths of silence
Its heart vibrated with a bright yellow glow

Tall, dark and grey
Stood the tower of haughtiness
Long had it gazed into what lay ahead
Yet never knowing what lay beneath

Tall, dark and grey
Stood the tower of loneliness
For atop the array of memories
Its bald pate was adorned with thorns

Tall, dark and grey
There once stood a tower
The sun had beat him down
And the sea swallowed him up.

I exist so I won't be forgotten
